Microsoft Dynamics GP October 2024 Release

Learn about some of the latest updates in Microsoft’s Dynamics GP 18.7 release.

Microsoft has released, as of October 1, its latest Dynamics GP release. The release, officially known as 18.7, has several new features and bug fixes. This article will look at some of the new features and conclude with additional resources.

New Dynamics GP Features

Some of the new features included in the Dynamics GP release are:

  1. Vendor Class Roll Down Default Change – GP users know from experience that if you change values in a vendor class, you are asked to roll down the changes to vendors assigned to the class. With this version, the default answer is “NO.”
  2. Payables 1099 Masking IDs – There is a new option to enable tax ID values to be masked. This option is available for these types of 1099 forms: NEC, INT, DIV, and MISC. The first five characters of the ID will be masked.
  3. Payroll Monthly Deduction & Benefit Maximums – In addition to the maximums like Pay Period, Calendar Year, Fiscal Year, and Lifetime, users can enter monthly maximum amounts.
  4. Purchase Order Entry Delete Line Option – On the Purchase Order Entry window, users can select an option to delete a row.
  5. Link Sales Order Processing Print Options to SOP Document Type – When printing SOP documents, users have been prompted to select the type of documents to print. This release will print the document type based on the document type displayed.
