WICHITA, Kan. – Forvis Mazars has appointed Steve Webb as managing partner of its Wichita office, effective June 1. He succeeds Bill Pickert, who will retire on May 31 after 38 years with the firm.
Webb is a tax partner with Forvis Mazars’ National Construction & Real Estate Practice and has worked and raised his family in Wichita over the past 25 years. He has provided tax planning and advising services for clients during his long tenure in the market. He is active in the Wichita community, serving on several nonprofit boards including Boys & Girls Club of South Central Kansas, and with the accounting advisory councils for Wichita State University and Emporia State University.
As managing partner, Webb will lead day-to-day operations for the Wichita area market with an emphasis on strategic growth, talent acquisition and development, and furthering the firm’s dedication to providing an Unmatched Client Experience™. Webb has been working with Pickert as well as colleagues and clients for several months to help ensure a smooth transition.
“It has been a tremendous privilege to work with Bill the last 20 years and learn from one of the best,” Webb said. “What he has accomplished in his career and achieved for the firm is truly remarkable. We will miss his leadership and will build from the legacy he is leaving to continue the success of the office. The future is bright in Wichita, and I am very honored and grateful for the opportunity to step into this role.”
“At Forvis Mazars, our purpose is to help those we serve unlock their full potential,” said CEO Tom Watson. “Steve is an incredible leader who will be dedicated to helping our people and our clients fulfill their goals. I’m excited to see what he will accomplish in his new role and I’m grateful for his willingness to lead.”
