Perry has more than 30 years of university-level teaching and consulting experience in the areas of litigation support and business interest valuations. He retired from the College of Charleston as professor emeritus of finance in 2007 and joined our firm on a full-time basis at that time.
He has extensive experience in valuing companies and various classes of securities and ownership interests across a broad range of industries. These engagements have involved gift and estate planning purposes, tax planning, merger and acquisition consulting purposes, and litigation support. Perry has deep experience as an expert witness on matters including complex commercial litigation and personal tort claims, and family court litigation. Engagements include class action litigation to a variety of commercial matters including lost profits, breach of contract, and construction litigation.
Perry has served as an officer and board member of the American Academy of Economic and Financial Experts. He was a founding board member of the Board of Governors of the School of Business at the College of Charleston.
He is a graduate of Furman University, Greenville, South Carolina, and a graduate of University of South Carolina, Columbia, with an M.B.A. degree and a Ph.D. degree.
