The latest release updates from Salesforce aim to help organizations improve productivity with new features powered by artificial intelligence (AI). This release includes the rollout of Agentforce 2.0, enabling organizations to create AI agents that can help complete business tasks. The release also emphasizes the integration of AI with administrative tools to enhance customer satisfaction through the latest system updates. This article will focus on key AI features for admins becoming available in the Salesforce Spring ’25 release.
Sort List Views by Multiple Columns
Multi-column sorting lets users sort list views by up to five columns at once. This setup is just for your view. However, you can go back to the default by going to a column header that is not part of your multi-column sort.
To enable this feature, go to User Interface in Setup, then check the box for Enable sort by multiple columns (Beta).
Organize Your Data With Multi-Column Sorting for Related Lists
The Multi-Column Sorting for Related Lists feature allows users to sort related lists by up to five columns, providing customized and efficient data views. Users can define the sort order for each column, with configurations personalized to each individual. This enhancement can help in managing and analyzing complex data sets more effectively.
Edit List Filters No Longer Available
The Edit List Filters option has been removed from the List Views Control for all list views. Instead, to modify your list view filters, you now need to click the Filters icon. This change aims to streamline the process and make it more intuitive for users.
Allow Users to View All Fields for a Specified Object
Admins can now assign permissions to view all fields for a specific object, reducing clicks and simplifying management. This feature applies to all standard and custom objects that support field permissions. Users with this permission will automatically receive permission to view any new fields created.
Clearer Names for View All & Modify All
For better clarity, Salesforce has renamed some object permissions. “View All” is now “View All Records.” “Modify All” is now “Modify All Records.” This change aims to make the purpose of these permissions more intuitive, helping users better understand Salesforce security.
Streamline Management of Permission Sets
You can now add a permission set directly to a permission set group from the permission set’s summary page, reducing the number of clicks and effort needed to manage permission sets.
Choose Which Dashboard Widgets to Refresh
A new beta feature being introduced in the Salesforce Spring ’25 release lets users refresh specific widgets within a dashboard rather than the entire dashboard. Refreshing only the necessary widgets can help users increase efficiency and focus on relevant data. To enable this feature, go to the Reports and Dashboards Settings page in Setup. Select “Let users refresh individual widgets for dashboards (Beta).” Learn more from Salesforce.
Use Your Email to Log In
You can now log in to Salesforce using your email address, simplifying access management for users with multiple organizations. Select “Login with Email” on login.salesforce.com, enter your email, and follow the prompts. You can still use your Salesforce username to log in. This new login option is an added feature, not a replacement, letting users choose their preferred method.
Note: This feature is not available for Sandbox users, shared email accounts, or users who can’t access their email.
