An updated form and instructions were published for the Skilled Nursing Facility Advanced Beneficiary Notice (SNF ABN) effective October 31, 2024. Providers should closely read through the form and instructions to help determine if their current policy and processes require updates.
The SNF ABN is available for download on the Fee For Service SNF ABN webpage. Further guidance on new notice information is outlined by CMS as well.
It is recommended that all SNF providers begin using the updated form, along with the instructions, by the October 31 implementation deadline.
