Navigating BCBS 239 Requirements – The Road to Compliance

In November 2023, the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision (BCBS) published its latest progress report, highlighting that most banks were not fully compliant. In fact, it was noted that progress has stalled or even regressed since the previous update in 2019, and not a single Principle has been fully implemented across all banks. To be leaders in this space and satisfy regulatory requirements and expectations, banks will need to prioritize implementation plans while addressing known weaknesses as they work to accelerate compliance.
